This is a self-narrative research into a childhood sexual abuse narrative and a life story of the process of the transformation of internal experiences.

The narrative aims to follow the process of internal reality as closely as possible; utilizing the metaphor of “the journey of empowerment "to open up a journey of confronting trauma.

Before embarking on this journey –confusion with the research ‘map’ and the encounter with the inner storm resulted in doubt, anxiety and uneasiness almost drained the momentum to press forward; then it came to realization that one has to believe first to be able to gain the power to take action; and only after taking action can one gain strength for the fragile and easily self-doubting inner self; and only then was the researcher reminded by the signals of the body and set off again with the previous bodily experiences as the guide.

After embarking on the journey – from ‘stop 1’ to ‘stop 5’, the researcher was able to get in touch with the inner core issue, the desire for ‘love’ through re-examining the life experience of the pursuit to become a professional dancer in the past and the creation and rehearsal of the representation of life stories during the process of narrative; with the gradual growth of inner power, the researcher was more prepared to go through the narrative of trauma caused by intimate relationship and proceed to the topic of self-forgiveness. As the process of the journey of empowerment proceeds, the researcher was able to connect to the experience and understanding of the ultimate issues in life by confronting trauma and bring the gradually stabilizing inner power and practice in daily life.

The researcher referenced the concept of the process of reproducing self-narrative proposed by Lai and Ding (2005) to present the experiences, especially those related to the topics of ‘mobility or immobility, relationship and feeling’ in the past or self-narrative process; after textualizing life experiences through actions such as writing, body creation or presentation, the researcher was able to interpret and understand these experiences and integrate the understandings gained into daily life and the practice and experience of the process of narrative research. By going through the layers and cycles of the process of the construction of the self, the researcher was able to give narrative and reproduce the process of how the researcher faced childhood sexual abuse trauma and experienced the process of transformation.
