Johannes Brahms (1833-1897) had a magnificent position in music history. His musical compositions, including piano, ensemble, orchestra, etc. The four symphonies take on a remarkable place in the history of music. "Serenade No. 1" was Brahms's first attempt at writing an orchestral work's composition, and there is plenty of contents worth noting. This thesis is mainly divided into three parts. The first part starts from Brahms' early history and life background and explores the writing background of this piece of music. The second part analyzes each movement of every single phrase and sorts out the details in the score text. Finally, the last part, with the theme of the musical features and style of Brahms, briefly presents the peculiarities of this work and the idea of musical interpretation.
