The environment plays a great role in any artist's life, especially places where an
artist grew up. Such places have inspired the artists to accomplish many
masterpieces. The concept of beauty differs from artist to artist and these
differences have caused the diversity of the expressions of beauty itself. Each and
every artist has an eagerness for leaving his or her own concept of beauty on the
canvas, and meanwhile, the result of the eagerness has faithfully reflected the
personal emotion and character of an artist.
The title of the essay, Rainfall and Nostalgia, expresses the theme of my
creations - works about the scene of rainfall and the memories of my families and
hometown. They are mainly expressed in the way of Eastern Visual Arts. The style of
the brush was mostly damp and focused on creating the atmosphere of mist and
rain. By going through my subjective aesthetic, I have managed to visualize the idea
of my landscapes and scenarios. These creations faithfully reflect my character and
personality.
The essay contains five different chapters:
The first chapter would be the explanation of the motivation, purpose, content,
and methods.
The second chapter would be the result of my research and the discussion
about the connection between rain, poetry, and paintings based on the collection of
many other artists' works.
The third chapter would be the research of the effect of thoughts and growing
environment on works by going through the discussion about how to create a vivid
atmosphere through brushes and the combination of rainfall and the thoughts of
nostalgia based on the collection of many artist's works.
The forth chapter would be my creations. They express the emotions of myself
and could be divided into four parts:
1. Traveling with rainfall.
2. The delights of rainfall.
3. The memories of my hometown.
4. The memories of my families.
The fifth chapter would be the conclusion of my research, the quest of new and
better creation in the near future by looking through the present works and
modifications.
