The thesis: "Inner freedom,found in nature." discusses the author series of prints from

2018 to 2019 and his research on the topic of "nature" and" loneliness".

In today’s busy society, we race against time every day, and we don’t even know what

it is, that makes us so busy. In addition, we live in a world of information explosion,

where we are confronted with plenty information given by others. This temptation to

be “up to date” and the constant use of mobile phones leads people to reflect less and

less about themselves. In this thesis, the author recalls the days of his time at Donghai

University. Where he explains his experience with the environment at the university

during his studies. Through his perception of the natural space, in which he could feel

the changes of time, he was able to let his body and mind become more sensitive.

Therefore, the author wants to convert these experiences of being in nature as the

source of his works.

After creating about 30 works, the author started to research on the topic: “Inner

freedom found in nature”. In this paper he begins to analyze different perspectives of

“nature” in art history.

From the viewpoint of literature, the author discusses the term “loneliness” and

reflects on the psychological state of “being in nature”. At the end of this paper, the

author gives a survey of his creative work, where he uses paper intaglio as the main

material. By discussing different experiments of paper printing techniques, he

explains how he tries to capture an experienced mood, atmosphere or dynamic in his

prints.
