Abstract

The theme of this project is subjected to “Inspection of interpersonal relationships between reality and fantasy” It generates the relationships when the joint effects happened between human. Relationship is varied and complex, sometimes connected and sometimes not, what is real and what is unreal; what is tangible and what is intangible, it always obscures people and is hard to define. Through the observation of human being and things in real life, the author apprehends the relationships in the context, from the perspective of their existing relationship archetypes "reality and fantasy", rethink and convey the contemplation of "people", "man and objects", "man and events" relationship through the works, aim to yield further relationships throughout the creation. Creating direction was focused on in-depth exploration of "Building Relationships", "Conflicting Relations", "Repairing Relationships" and "Relationship Enhancement" , along with eliciting elements form the legends into this collection: from the background of the legends to exploring void and solid relationships of life in the legends. The selection of materials, were mainly chosen with metals, mixed with other materials and approaches to enhance the completion of the project. Approaches to aesthetics were taken through the following four directions: 1. Use the module/single unit to represent each individual unit. 2. Integrate interactive design to the project. 3. Discover the relationship of combined distinct materials from a combination of discrete materials. 4. Through the sense of human body, explore the relationship changing between void and solid from the perspective of vision and hearing.
