touch one’s heart, to embrace the public and sway crowds.

This thesis recapitulates the essence of the indigenous Taiwan spirit, with local heroes as theme, revealing the veracity, kindness, and beauty of Taiwan locals. Shadow effects and modification of line dimensions are utilized, along with fundamental ink painting techniques to create a harmonious fusion between Western and Asian art. This art fusion depicts a form of modern face painting, which exhibits the uniqueness of contemporary art.

Artworks representing "veracity" illustrate the countless difficulties, decisions, and challenges faced in life, from never-ending meaningless earning and spending, to endless cycles of success and failure etc. "Kindness" creations depict the unrelenting, devoted and innovative attitudes of Taiwanese heroes through their face paintings, to promote the decency of human nature. "Beauty" creations portray introversion and mystery or the oriental beauty, along with expression of struggle between anticipation and distress in a manner of implicitness and grace.
