“Spring Hush” is the Master’s Program art work creation of Hui-Min Liao, Taiwan University of Arts, Graduate School of Applied Media Arts, which fined in June, 2009. This film is about a secret of a missing daughter and the journey of how characters looking for their sincere love from soul. And the story describe a woman who felt regret at her bygone beauty, and sensed conflicting of being a mother. The story also offers a view that “love is not enough”, and explain that the significance of love is “never give up”.

The total length of this film is 58 minutes, which is shot by digital camera, and has taken about over one year. The film takes multiple perspectives, the reality plots and memory plots appear in turns. Each visual grammar is the clue leads the audiences to understand the truth step by step. The story began from the secret and ended in the secret.

The Master’s thesis is the document and the lesson from film making production. The first chapter is about motive and purpose. The second chapter is a study into the relate documents. The third chapter is about the concept of the drama creating and the image methods design. The forth chapter is about the film’s execution of work and production, which show the process of pre-production, filming and post-production. The fifth chapter is the meeting record of the first release, collate from the audiences opinions and comments. The sixth chapter is the conclusions and suggestions which are about creator’s self-examination and suggestions. The appendix file also included the whole script of “Spring Hush”, and outline of each scene, budget tabulation…etc, hope that can offer some suggestions to film creators in the future and through this thesis pass on the relevant experiences.
