This research focuses on the author's original songs, which will be played during the graduation concert. There are totally seven songs, and the styles are very diverse, including pop music, rock music, electronic music, rhythm and blues music, and instrumental composition. The content of the songs is derived from the author's perspectives regarding on his philosophy of life and values, and reflections on topics such as love, fighting for freedom and trust. These topics will be presented and discussed through the songs, with an aim to share the ideas and messages that the author wishes to convey. Languages of the songs are in Chinese and English.

This thesis adopts the music analysis research method, analyzing the songs’ background and idea, composition, lyrics, arrangement and mixing. Besides, this thesis is divided into ten chapters: Introduction, Literature Review, Chinese and English songs’ analysis, and conclusion.

By analyzing and presenting the complete process in the making of the songs, the author hopes to bring some new impact and inspiration to the music creators, in which would be beneficial to their future prospects. In addition to the musical analysis, the music and lyrics in the songs reflect the author's views on life. In this regard, this article will further express what kind of messages the author hopes to bring to the audience, with an aim to make them resonate emotionally with those messages and bring out a certain degree of positivity and positive influence.
