“Life Companion”is the theme of the dissertation which records the company by the life companions, DiDi and Dirong, from 2013 to 2015. The work expresses the life mode and relationships between pets and human beings are harmonious, caring and reliant. As companions, the pets bring lots of joys and comforts. Human beings and pets are to learn, to think and to change their life styles from each other when they live in a same space.

The first chapter of my study explained the process of being long term with DiDi. I took the moments of our life as the contents of my works. Hope that my works could convey the meanings to viewers through the elements in the paintings and also the materials and skills I used. In retrospect the visual art works in the art history, there were quite a good few of works used images of animals as a metaphor to interpreted implications. In the early days, there was a distinct demonstration of the relationship between human and animals. But after pets became a part of family, the demonstration was getting blurred. The gazing and eye expressions between human and animals were gone too. In the following chapters, I introduced the creating methods and the analysis of materials, explained the concept, application of materials and skills in each work. Made viewer could be affected by the emotions I wanted to express in my works. Through accumulated the creating progresses as records and also memories. Hope these experiences would be the direction to comply for my art career in future. Let the creating activities become the core of life, with life to exist, therefore be able to affirm the value of self.
