Thinking about the meaning and value of life, we often get confused. If life is just like a linear path which leads you to move forward, the current presence of you is resulted from each decision you make at each crossroad you meet. Your current life would construct an intersection under each decision you make. The discrepancy of the two extremes, “suppression” and “liberation”, would appear accordingly. Dispite of the huge discrepancy of them, we could decide yes or no, more or less, which would reveal in the form of our behaviors and thoughts. two elements have already existed inside our bodies for a long time.

This creation would interpret “suppression” and “liberation” from perspectives of Eastern and Western spiritual characteristics, explore the real one from the subconscious, and discuss “suppression” and “liberation” through the traditional social culture-the art of foot-binding. Lastly, it will conclude with a series of three main themes, “microcosmic”, “prisoner” and “dream builder” to illustrate “suppression” and “liberation”in surrealism style. With regard to what may contribute to this creation, the creator seeks to clarify the meaning of “why we exist” by looking back bits and pieces of life experiences and that of “whom we exist for” in the process of his clay creation.
