This creation description is to explain and discuss content of the documentary " Together we move Forward " about the planning, process and result. The title " Together we move Forward " is named after an elderly interviewee's experience of aging in place. The main character of the film is Ms. Liu Pengbilan, an elder woman in Hakka Community. Through her life records, people can understand the elders' living attitude towards their life. This creation is a record of elderly home living that is worth learning from, and a case study of aging in place.
The documentary presents the elderly's concept of "aging in place and Active Ageing ". During the filming process, I discovered that in addition to personal attitudes affecting the elderly’s personal life, Social networks such as neighborhoods, communities, public welfare associations and national care systems play an important role. The content of the film tells the story of an elderly woman living alone in a Hakka Community. In her later years, she has been established a regular and healthy elderly life in a familiar community through the community network. A record of elderly home living that is worth reference to, and a case study of aging in place.
This film provides the elderly themselves with a reference for the elderly lifestyle, so as to fully plan their life in old age. For families, care systems and national long-term care policies, it provides reference for social care networks and policy formulation. Finally, the author anticipates that future documentaries of this type will be able to record ethnographic impacts on the specific social networks of Hakka elders, in order to arouse people's continued concern for aging issues.
